The Chokugaku-mon Gate of Yusho-in Reibyo, Zojoji Temple, Shiba

Chokugaku Gate is viewed from the northeast, outside Yushoin Mausoleum. Dragons are engraved on the gateposts. Many photographs were taken of these dragons because of their excellent craftsmanship, and many still remain. This was taken at a point closer to the gate than #4787. The roof visible on the left is that of the mizuya (washing place). The structure visible through the gate is the idoyakata (well). The precincts of Zojoji Temple,Shiba

The stone stairs and Karamon Gate leading to the Okuin Hall of Worship at Bunshoin Mausoleum are viewed from a point just beyond Shikiri Gate. The copper lanterns on the left were donated by feudal lords. Engraved on the lanterns are the words In front of Bunshoin, October 24, 1712.
